COURSE DESCRIPTION A five part-training program designed to provide a forum for members to discuss Workers' Compensation and OHS issues, increase knowledge and to acquire skills to more effectively manage Workers' Compensation in NSW.
OBJECTIVES On completion of the training, participants will: - Have increased knowledge of current workers compensation/ohs issues - Be able to implement strategies to manage workers compensation/ohs issues - Be able to identify resources to assist them manage workers compensation/ohs issues.
VENUE All sessions are held at the Masconic Centre, Cnr Castlereagh and Goulburn Streets, Sydney.
METHOD The key methods in the training provided will be presentations by session leaders, group discussions, case studies and small group exercises. The number of participants will be limited to 100 per session where possible with the exception of the March session where the absolute limit will be 180 for the full day session.
The number of participants will be limited to 100 per session where possible with the exception of the March and July sessions where the absolute limit will be 150 for the full day session.Other than the March and July sessions, each session will be of 3 hours duration with two sessions running per day AM and PM, held bi-monthly in alternate months to the Association meetings.
TRAINING PROVIDER People who have particular skills, knowledge and experience appropriate to the subject matter will lead each session. Session leaders will be drawn from the Association, Government bodies and the private sector.
EVALUATION This training program will be evaluated by obtaining direct feedback from the participants at the conclusion of each workshop.
POLICY All payments must be made prior to attending the training sessions. A substitute participant is always welcome with advance notice to your designated sub-committee member.
Sub-committee members will only contact one person per organisation regarding reminders of up coming seminars.
Advance notice is required if participants wish to change sessions from morning to afternoon. Contact the sub-committee member who has been allocated to your company.
The Form and Registration - Cost is $50 per person for the half day sessions and $75 per person for the full day sessions ( includes lunch and morning/afternoon tea) - A light luncheon will be served between 12 noon and 12.50 p.m. (Please tick the box if lunch is required) Registration can be completed by submitting the form (click the button below) or printing and faxing this form to Phil James on (02) 9648 6413. All Courses are held at the Masconic Centre, Cnr Castlereagh & Goulburn Streets, Sydney. Morning sessions commence at 09:00 and Afternoon sessions at 1:30 pm.
